He is Eddy Murphy: he's an actor and in his latest film he played two shares:
a spaceship and his captain.
The film's name is "Meet Dave" and Dave is the spaceship's name.
He said he has a lot of fun to play that part, and he has made comments on the
possible arrival of an alien on the Earth and on the possible reactions of the
people.

PHILADELPHIA MURALS

On the magazine Speak Up I found an interesting article that speaks about some colourful murals of Philadelphia. In this city in 1984 Kathryn Ott Lovell started the Mural Arts Program that continues also today because she thinks that art doesn’t only belong behind the walls of galleries and museums, but that it can be really accessible for people. The murals tend to celebrate such typically American themes as optimism, diversity, opportunity and growth, self-belief, hopes and dreams, and overcoming adversity. Local resident and community activists loom several times life-size. But if you really want to experience the true spirit of the city, you should see the murals, you should see the city through the murals.

The protagonist of my article is Duffy, a very pretty young girl that comes from Wales, in the south-west of England.
Her real name is Aimèe Anne Duffy.
The topic of this article is Duffy's current tour, that will play in Italy, on Sunday, the eighth of June.
She's became an artist because her lyrics can't stay in the dark of a box.
They're inspired by many things.

She's not sort of... self-indulgent writer; she just likes to write stories, and...put them into song.

J.K. ROWLING A FAMOUS WRITER BUT NOT ONLY

Recently J.K. Rowling famous for Harry potter’s books had written a new book “The Tales of Beedle the Bard” but this isn’t a normal book because there are just seven copies. Six are in the houses of her friends and one hand written copy was auctioned for charity at the amazing price of 2.5 million. The money was donated to the charity The Children’s Voice. She said that she donated the money because she didn’t need another money : she earns about 2 million at week!!

Many singers and stars decided to change their names with others. The new names are more beautiful and easy; people remember them easier and they are more attractive. Madonna chooses to keep only her first name and to “put away” her South-Italian surname. Also Shakira modifies her name because her real name is Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll. Shakira, in Arabian, means “woman full of grace”. If I say Cherilyn Sarkisian, nobody know that I’m speaking of Cher, because she decided to simplify her very difficult name. Dino Crocetti tried being Dino Martini, but later settled on the more American-sounding Dean Martin. Farrokh Bulsara, renamed Freddie by English school friends, choose Mercury (the planet and metal) to represent his shining rock star image. Steve Demetre Georgiou hid Greek origins with the name Cat Stevens. Now he prefers Yusuf Islam. Georgios Kyriakos Panayiotou is difficult to remember, but George Michael sounds like a star.
For celebrities is easy to change name, but for normal people isn’t the same!

Hej!!

This is a typical way a Swed greets you and that means CIAO!

We want to remember our stay in Sweden from 21st to 25th of April, so we have written some comments on the experience. THANKS SWEDEN and THANKS TANUMSKOLAN!

What I liked most in Sweden…
The most beautiful things in Sweden are the places: quiet, lovely and very different from our places. The streets are not so busy and there isn’t much traffic!!!
Another beautiful thing I liked of Sweden are the people: friendly, kind and nice!!! The family where I stayed was very kind: I left my family in Italy and I found a very beautiful and nice family there!!!
To arrive in Sweden I had to get up at half past 2 and I left Cemmo for the airport at 3 o’clock by bus. The flight was at half past 6.
I miss all the Swedish students!!! They were very friendly and nice…
I hope that they can come here in Italy or we can go back to Sweden to see them again .

Sweden
I thought the experience in Sweden was boring and not very interesting but I found another mentality because the place is beautiful and the nature is amazing.
I think the Swedish system is the same as the Italian system but the Swedish system is more beautiful than Italian.
IN SWEDEN I KNEW SOME BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE and I hope to have been a good friend for them.
I wanted to stay there for a little longer….but I maybe go back there this summer.
In the end I felt at ease and I want to go back there…

Last week I went to Sweden in order to meet the Tanum’s students who came here last year. There, I had a great time, I was guest in a Swedish family. They were very friendly and kind . We arrived in Oslo by airplane, then I went to Tanum by bus.
I liked Sweden, it’s a wonderful country, I found gorgeous landscapes.
But the best things were the people that I knew there.
They were very sociable and friendly. I met a lot of people, they were very nice, with them I visited their town, and I passed some beautiful days.
The last day was the worst, because we came back to Italy.
I think this is the best journey I've ever done, I knew a new culture, new people, new places.
I want to meet again my friends.
I want to return to Sweden.
I want to thank everybody for the terrific week that I spent in Sweden.

I lived in Grebbestad, this is a lively town, with fascinating landscapes!!
I had lots of fun with my Swedish friends: Oscar, Marcus, Bernie, Sissel, Tove, Emily !!
We visited many different but very nice places!!
We walked in the mountains, played golf, danced in the disco, cooked for the last dinner!!!
We had much fun together... I think to have found true friends in Sweden!!

In my opinion this was a very important experience...because I had the possibility to speak English a lot and to meet a different culture!!

THE SWEDES MEET THE ITALIANS:
This year my classmates and I went to Sweden.
At 3.00 o’clock a.m. we left our village.
I was very sad because I already missed my family but when we arrived in Norway and we saw the Swedish students everything was really nice.
After hugs and kisses the Swedes and we catched the bus and we went to the whale museum and to the shopping centre.
After that we took a really nice ferry-boat that brought us to Tanum.
When we arrived to Tanum I knew my host family, they were a really nice family and the house was amazing.
In this small holiday I improved my English and I have known a Swedish friend and her name is Annie and I miss her.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF...

We lived an absolutley wonderful experience together with our friends from Sweden. We've learnt many things... For instance we've learnt that Swedish people are quiter than Italian, and that they are very polite and outgoing.



They care about nature and respect it, besides they've got healthy habits and don't smoke a lot. They are pride of theri origins and speak English very well!!!

But also Swedish students have gained something from this experience...
